Simply the Best
From the first moment, we felt totally at ease with our hosts, Marion and David who could not have been more helpful. For our 12 day stay they booked all our golf, advised us on restaurants and outings even down to finding a masseuse for a back problem!
Our accommodation was spacious, beautifully presented and spotless with daily room service. If we wanted we could have a delicious breakfast cooked for us and served on the upper deck. Alternatively we had the facilities to fend for ourselves if we so desired.
We enjoyed the peaceful and well designed garden and pool area and sat on our own little private patio with our sundowners each evening. Bliss.

Terrific hosts and a great place to stay
From the moment we arrived Marion and David were extremely friendly, helpful and informed hosts and this made our stay in Knysna memorable. Marion assisted in booking our day trips and knew all the great restaurants and cafes in the town - we didn't have one bad meal in Knysna. The studio room we booked at Armadillo Studios was extremely well appointed and plenty big enough for the two of us. Breakfast upstairs on the balcony is delicious and terrific value. To be able to sit outside the studio and take in their beautiful garden or to lounge around by the pool was an extremely relaxing way to end the day. If you want comfort and hospitality then Armadillo Studios is the only place to stay in Knysna.

AMAZING!
We had a wonderful time! The host were very friendly and made us feel at home. We felt like we already knew them. Our room was kept clean and neat at all times and it was very modern as well. It was situated perfectly close to shops and restaurants. Booklets of Knysna were handed to us and there were also handy notes in our room, for us to read which was very useful. It was easy to find the places we visited. The hosts also made suggestions which helped. They’re were very knowledgeable about the activities and surrounding areas. The garden with its birds was absolutely heavenly! It swept all our stress away. We would definitely visit again.

You have GOT to stay here
This has been simply the best accommodation throughout our 1-month stay in South Africa! We have stayed at various B&B's/Guesthouses/Hotels and really this comes out tops. The facilities are all there - and the place is spotless. On arrival we were welcomed by Marion & David like old friends and this continued throughout our stay. Honestly you will not find two nicer people, or a nicer place to stay. This is definitely one to recommend & we really hope we have the opportunity to stay here again. Marion & David, please don't change a thing and thank you again for a wonderful time and hope to see you soon.

A gem
A real gem of a place to stay. Went to Knysna for the Oyster festival and to run the Knysna half marathon. Though not situated in the town, it is conveniently placed so that it is easy to reach all places of interest, though you will need your own transport to get around. The rooms are situated in a very tranquil garden. The hosts Marion and Dave go out of their way to help you. It is hosts like these that will ensure the success of their business. I definitely would recommend Armadillo Studios to all.

Fantastic!
The setting the accommodation was absolutely fantastic, everything had been thought of to make your stay there a real treat, we were very sorry that we were only there for 3 nights we could have stayed for weeks! The hosts David and Marion were so welcoming and made us feel very relaxed straight away. We really can't praise Armadillo Studios enough.

A ‘Must Stay’
Wow what a place this is. If you are thinking of going to Knysna stay here!! We were thinking about staying in the town centre (this is only 5-10 min drive from the Armadillo), but we definitely made the right decision. Upon arrival Marion had put a sign welcoming us and when we went inside it was like arriving home! Marion and David made us feel very welcome and after showing us to our room (which had a bottle of bubbly in as it was our honeymoon), they then invited us for a braai with the other guests, but only if we wanted to. What a good night, such a laugh! The accommodation is fantastic. We had a studio with a double bed, sofa, flat screen TV, cd player with a choice of cd's, honesty bar, fantastic bathroom with separate loo. Marion and David really have thought of everything. The pool area is very inviting and they gardens are very well kept and the owners really encourage the birdlife! The owners were also very helpful in offering advice and ideas of what to do in the area. We loved this place and stayed 3 nights, but could have stayed a lot longer as there is so much to do in the area.

Best B&B we've stayed in - ever!
Armadillo studios was quite simply the best B&B we have ever stayed in. The room looked great with the modern decor and was immaculate, with an attention to detail that was second to none. Breakfast was delicious and served on the balcony with wonderful views over to the Knysna Heads. The hosts Marion and David were very friendly and accommodating - even recommending and booking restaurants and tee times at local golf courses for us. We cannot wait to come back!

Most enjoyable stay
Armadillo studios was, if I may say so, one of the most enjoyable stays we have ever experienced at a guesthouse. I can surely recommend anyone to stay. David and Marion made us feel at home immediately and suggested the best restaurant in Knysna to celebrate our anniversary.

Tranquility
An amazing weekend stay with superb hosts who made us feel part of the family. The studio was reasonably priced with modern facilities and was comfortable and homely to say the least. A most memorable stay
Armadillo studios is one of those few delights that stay with you long after the experience. It is in a word "luxurious" It begins with the warm greeting of hosts David and Marion that immediately make you feel special and at home. The studios are really beautiful and very comfortable and your every need is catered for. When you leave you feel as though you have made new friends - good friends.

Splendid Stay
